5 Things Not to Do on Your Wedding Night
Your wedding day is a day to be remembered, and you definitely want it to be that way. However, there are certain things that can deter you and your significant other from having the fun you should have.
1. Do not get trashed drunk
There is nothing wrong with drinking; however, both you and your significant other do not want to have to remember how drunk one of you were to the point where you missed certain special moments. Being excessively drunk can lead to you not remembering anything that happened (it is your wedding day you want to remember), you puking your guts out, or you ruining your significant others time by you having to be baby sat. Ultimately there is nothing wrong with drinking on your wedding night, but as with everything knowing yourself and finding a balance is the key.
2. Do not wait too long to finish formalities
Important memories from your wedding day like the first dance, speeches, and other events should be taking care of early. Why? Because it allows you and your significant other to actually enjoy the rest of night with the people that brought you to this moment in the first place. These people that are coming to your wedding have encouraged, supported, and assisted you to be the person you are today. You are going to want to spend more time with all of these guests. This will help you reduce the stress and anxiety on you and your significant other as well as give you more time to laugh and relish such a pure moment.
3. Do not forget to give yourself a few minutes after the ceremony to relish and enjoy the moment.
Right after the ceremony is done a lot of couples will immediately rush to get to doing family photos and romantics. We recommend that you give yourself time to enjoy such an amazing moment with your significant other. Have your wedding planner grab you bite to eat or a drink (such as water or juice) to help you stay hydrated. Talk to your partner, laugh about anything and everything, and spend these 5-10 minutes drink in this delicious moment. You only get one wedding day why not enjoy every last second of it.
4. Do not forget to eat as well as drink lots of water
It is so important to have snacks and water handy through the day. Sometimes in the stress of the day it is easy to not eat or drink. We all forget sometimes; however, it is crucial that you deliberately drink lots of water and eat something. Do not wait until dinner time to eat because people who are hungry tend to get hangry. The last thing you want on your wedding day is gets a massive headache. We have seen it happen, and we also know that the wedding day is a busy day. This means that even with a headache the show must go on. Make sure your hydrate and eat some food.
5. Do not forget to have fun
This last one is obvious, but do not get so overwhelmed by the moment that you forget to enjoy the day. It is a great day after all. You only get one wedding day, so do not let the busyness prevent you from laughing, smiling, and relishing this amazing moment. You have spent many months working out all of the details, so you must make sure it isn’t wasted. You are blessed to have this moment.
