5 Tips For New Brides Planning Their Wedding Day

Whether you are planning on getting married in Southern California or Northern California or wherever you are going to have a lot of stressful moments in planning this wedding. As a new bride there is a good chance that you do not have much planned and organized or you might not even know where to begin looking for anything for your wedding day. This blog will give you five tips to make it easier for you to plan your wedding day.

1.     Hire a wedding planner (not just a day of coordinator)

A wedding planner will provide so many valuable resources for you as you are planning your wedding day. A wedding planner should be booked after the wedding photographer and the wedding videographer/cinematographer. A wedding planner will be the one to coordinate with all of the vendors for you so that you can just enjoy the planning and reduce the stress you have to carry.

2.     Book your wedding venue first.

The planning and booking of vendors are centered around your wedding venue. All of your wedding vendors will want to know the location of your wedding and the date you have planned. The reason for locking in your date with your vendor first is so that you have a solid date to give your vendors so that they can block that date out for you. Most vendors will not be able to lock you in until a date is decided on because they have other couples they are also talking to that might have similar dates. If you are really set on a particular wedding photography and cinematography team then, you will want to make sure that they will be available on your wedding day. So, locking in your venue first will ease the stress of having to change the dates on your other vendors if for some reason the date you had planned with the wedding venue does not get locked in.

3.     Book your wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue if possible.

This will not just add less stress on you for the planning but will save you stress on the day of. A wedding venue that can cater to your ceremony and reception needs will be a life saver to you. You will save so much time on your wedding day because there is not a lot of back and forth and travel time that has to be considered. This means that it will be easier on your guests, on your family, on yourself, and it will not take time away from your wedding photography and wedding cinematography desires on your wedding day. Your wedding day will go so fast that you will blink and the day will be almost gone. When you think about your wedding day you want to remember the fun not the stress of the day.

4.     Book your wedding photographer and wedding videographer/cinematographer second.

There are so many important things to book for your wedding day, but the most important things to book are the wedding venue and the wedding photographer as well as the wedding videographer/cinematographer. You are going to spend so much money on the flowers, décor, food, design, and so much more you will want a great wedding photography and wedding videography/cinematography team capturing all the details for you. You want to be able to relive those beautiful amazing memories over and over as well as share them with family. Having a great wedding photographer and wedding videographer/cinematographer will allow you to do relive your memories over and over.

5.     Plan extra time in your timeline just in case anything runs late on your wedding day.

Every wedding day runs late so plan extra time to prevent the stress to build. If you plan that things will not always work out as planned then you will be giving yourself cushion room for things to happen and provide the time for you to enjoy your wedding day.
